Tourists travelling in the spring can enjoy the sight of flowering cherry, plum, apple and pear trees. If you decide to do the excursion in late summer, you will be able to taste the fresh, sweet and juicy results.
Here you have the possibility to book a three-hour sightseeing tour to explore Eidfjord and Vøringsfossen waterfall.
The village of Eidfjord at the head of the fjord has just under a thousand inhabitants, but has lots of great experiences for those who love everything that Norwegian nature has to offer. Sights on the trip
There are many delightful trails in Eidfjord, just waiting to take you on a journey through culture, nature and history. Admire the traditional Jakob Church, which dates from 1309, trees decorated with colourful wool, and the surroundings where only the very toughest take part in the ’Norseman Xtreme Triathlon’ every year.
- Vøringsfossen Waterfall
We’re talking spec-tac-u-lar here! The most famous waterfall in Norway has a total fall of 182 metres and can safely be admired by everyone (even those with a fear of heights) from behind tall fences with an excellent view.
- Norwegian Nature Centre Hardanger
National park centre with exhibitions and experiences based around Norwegian nature, climate and environment. Watch the popular panorama film “The Best of Norway”, learn how glaciers have shaped the area, or travel back in time and talk to the Middle Age man Ottar.
The day trip has optional starting points at the bus station in Bergen or on the quay in Norheimsund. If you want to join the excursion to Eidfjord and go on the fjord cruise on the Hardangerfjord, we recommend that you purchase this ticket in advance. No matter which option you choose, we will be moored at the quay in Eidfjord for three hours.
